Obstinsively a minor noble of House Zebansk from Ebou Dar, Trent Zebansk has been a longtime friend and confidant of Corwin Al’Mar. He met the Lady Palea at a formal affair in Caemlyn and although they had never met each other in their home city, they became fast friends because of the common heritage that they shared. He traveled with the adventurers for a little while, leading them on a wild goose chase through much of Haddon Mirk in an attempt to rescue Corwin from darkfriend, only to reveal in the end that he believed that Corwin had not been kidnapped at all.

More recently, the Lady has learned that Trent Zebansk is believed to have died in a fire at his estate a couple of months earlier, so there is the possibility that the man posing as Lord Trent is in reality his younger brother Raddic Zebansk in disguise, but so far that is just speculation. Whatever the answer, Trent has shown himself to be of marginal truthfulness at best, and the adventures expect him of being under the thrall of Rhavin, if not working for him more directly.
