Little more is known about the Saldean darkfriend Kat-ch other than that he claims to be a hunter for the horn, and Kat-ch is not his real name. He has been sighted in Andor, Ebou Dar and finally Falme, so it appears that he is doggedly following Corwin’s group of adventurers, looking for any excuse to cause them pain or difficulty. He seems to have a specific grudge against Teiros, perhaps because of their common borderlander heritage. Interestingly though it is not Teiros who craves to see Kat-ch pay for his crimes but Caile. Kat-ch is believed to be behind the darkfriend attack on The Crown and Lion that killed Mistress Al’Sassa and provided a near fatal injury to her daughter Lee who happens to be Caile’s girlfriend.
